Proof of Support/Extension

Hi everyone! Me and my husband are applying for me to get an extended stay as we are just weeks away from sending in our Sponsorship application. My question is the specified proof of support required...is it alright to send a bank statement for one month showing him putting his checks in at the end of every week? Along with a letter stating that he will provide me with everything I need? He's only had this bank account for a month that's why I'm worried if it will be enough proof for them. Suggestions anyone??

HI missboon I have extended my stay in Canada twice.i enclosed with my application a letter of support from my husband and a bank statement of our joint account going back 3 mths I hope this helps you good luck

Thanks I guess the one bank statement will have to do ..

missboon, one bank statement just shows he had money in the account at one point. A letter of employment showing his salary would proof to CIC that he has sustainable income to support you.
