Hi guys,

I am uploading my docs for PR and in the instruction page for proof of studies, there is a paragraph under ECA, that says

"Applicants are instructed to indicate that their education was completed by correspondence by typing in brackets {by correspondence} on the same line as the education institution name found in the Education Background Information tab of GCMS. The discretion remains with the officer to decide if a police certificate is required for the country of the education institution"

What does this have to do with ECA? I obtained ECA for my foreign credentials, but I didn't do them "by correspondence." Is this for everyone or only for those who got their degree online?

Thanks

I BELIEVE this is only applicable to distance learning? I read this today and this is the first time I have ever seen this asked.

This is what I think too! But including it under the section about applicants with an ECA has confused me.

This is THE ABSOLUTE FIRST time I have seen this and I can't find anyone who has mentioned this. Unless everyone is secretly putting this in and not telling anyone, I'm going to assume it's ok.

Yeah. I searched it and could not find any reference to it. But where should we put this in? Under education history? It still does not make sense to me though, since I did not do my degree "by correspondence."

Don't put it in then! :P I really think this is for distance learning.
