Proof of settlements funds for Parents ?

I am sponsoring my parents and finally I got a letter yesterday saying that they are ready to issue PR visas for my parents. They requested updated police certificates and proof of settlement funds. Settlement funds for parents confused me a bit . Are they required to show settlement funds? I signed the letter that I will be sponsoring them for 10 years and CPC-Mississauga approved me as a sponsor. Should I just send them a copy of letter from CPC-Mississauga?

I would send an updated Option C showing the income you reported to Revenue Canada for 2012 to prove that you still meet the Low Income Cut Off requirements.
