Dear Members
My uncle is a Canadian citizen and i am claiming 5 points for the adaptability but i am not sure what to show as a proof that he is my father's brother?? I have read the visa office(london) guide but they have mentioned very generic things and i am still confused what to show as a proof?

1. You need your birth certificate, your fathers birth certificate and the uncle's birth certificate, which show the same mother or father. You need proof of his status in Canada and proof that he is living in Canada.

Hello,

If possible, Birth Certificates of your Uncle and Father, displaying the same parent .. otherwise ID cards and passports showing the same parent (waldiyat) will also do, one more thing, visa officers at times emphasize that the relative, whose points are being claimed should also be living in Canada !! you can do research on this for more factual info.

Mirza.

Provide also a family tree. That will show the relationships. Prove by providing BCs, etc. as what others mentioned.

Will a proof of relationship certificate suffice?

Do you have any idea how can i show that my uncle is currently living in Canada? do i have to provide his address? will they visit or what? because he has an address but he spents only 2,3 months a year in Canada due to his business. ???

Well what do you mean by family tree? is it a document i have to prepare myself or do i have to obtain it from any govt department?

Thanks

Utility bills, bank statements, tax letters will all show he stays in canada.

As mentioned by smiler 11, and also debit / credit card statements mentioning purchases made in Canada, all the required proofs should only be under his ownership. They do not visit at all, might call to verify (happens rarely) but if the provided proof is concrete then they might not even bother.

Regards,

A notarized letter of support from your relative in Canada including a photocopy of the front page of his Canadian Passport, your picture and your relative's pictures in addition to all mentioned above.
good luck!

Hi,

I have seen it somewhere indicating below :

If your close relative is a permanent resident of Canada: photocopy of his or her Record of Landing (IMM 1000), Confirmation of Permanent Residence or Permanent Resident Card.

That is the only documents they are asking ? what if I couldn's show his BC ? what the letter you mentioned should include?
