What are the acceptable proof of relationship documents for proving relationship with a sister?

Our passports have the same father's name and address as well as surname.

Our matriculation marksheets also indicate the same.

I have both our birth certificates but as with everything else related to a government agency in India, it is messed up and insufficient due to the following reasons:-

1. Only mentions gender and not names of the child born on that day
2. Is in hindi so getting it translated is another pain.

What are my options?

Im not expert but i think u can make statement that u n bro are legal sibling and ur bro will fund u
Ur sign, ur bro and then public notary!

You will have to translate all the documents into English. For proving you relationship you must get Family registration certificate. I am sure there will be some sort of govt institution in your country who will issue you this. This will be the similar one which issue national ID cards.

We do not have a family registration certificate but we do have a ration card here in India.

I wonder if that will work.

I don't know much about India.

Passports of both stating the same father's name and address is more than enough.

Thanks!

Did you have the same situation?

Not similar, but I used my mom's and my maternal uncle's passport to show that they are siblings.

So you got the visa then?

Hi,

I have a query on the sibling relationship proof. I have the my sister's and my passport which bear our father's and mother's name.

In my passport, my father has his middle name added in addition to first name and last name, whereas in my sister's passport father's name is only first name + last name
Mother's name is same in both passports.

Is it okay to show both of our passports as proof of sibling relationship ?
