Proof of means of financial support

In order for me to extend my visitors visa i applied online.
I am married to a Canadian and awaiting permanent residence approval.
My visitors visa expires in july and i do not want it to expire while i am in Canada and while i do not have my permanent approval yet.
My question is : Online they ask for: Proof of means of support', what are we supposed to submit here?

your latest bank statement or you
have any source to support you during your stay then provide
that if your partner is supporting you then
provide her income proof, like tax, salary slip,bank statement

For anyone out there needing to know how to get full sets of fingerprints done in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, please got to the Cienses next to Cieles funeral home, before getting to the Red Cross before going to the tunnel. its absolutely free.
