Hi Experts,

Could you please advise on the following queries.

1) I and my wife has got PR (I am PA), but i want to travel alone first and do initial accommodation settlement.
- Is it fine to say them wife will arrive later - do they expect exact date?
- Do I have to carry settlement funds applicable for 2 members?

2) If i carry 3K CAD in cash and remaining as bank draft or TC total all amounting to 14K then do I still need to declare it as >10K funds

3) If i carry forex card with the bank statement saying how much fund is available to withdraw anytime, will that work?

Thanks,

Dear Rizmayo

If a person carries say 40k to 50k as landing funds, will it have negative effect on Canada Child Tax Benefit
or Tax Benefit has to do with last year's income only?

Income only. Has nothing to do with how much settlement funds you bring.

Re: Proof of 'Landing Funds"

Dear Quorax,

Trust you are doing well and after EID Mubarak!
I would appreciate if you please respond on the following Issue-

1. For Police Clearance Certificate from Kuwait-

I was there for few years in 3 years back. I have been asked by SVO to submit a new PCC.

just 12-13 days before leaving of Kuwait country (in 2012) I collected a PCC from the respective Authority. Though it's possible to collect the fresh one now but 4-5 months time is required and little bit difficult to get the proper cooperation from the respective embassy in Dhaka, even there is no allowance of entry into the Embassy to talk .

So i'm planning to use the OLD one which I brought while leaving that country along with Fresh one from Dhaka metropolitan Police.

So my query is, how I can use this ( OLD PCC of Kuwait in Feb 2012) with suitable explanation. please suggest to providing a proper explanation in this case.

2. For PNWS -
I'm thinking to use i) available FDR which is equivalent amount as required for 3 members family. Is there any Bank certificate required or Notariszed Photocopy of the FDR Slip is enough or both are required ii) to add Land property how can I use the value. It was bought in 2010 with TK. 5.5 lacs on that time. What document/ how can I present this in the PNWS deceleration easily?

I would appreciate for any suggestion/way of explanation for above mentioned cases.

Thanks & Regards

Depends on the customs regulations of that country (varies country to country), however most have some sort of "limit" to carrying funds overseas.

Your old certificate will not be accepted. Certificates are only valid for 6 months.

If you still have friends in Kuwait they can get the certificate of good conduct on your behalf. You will need to send them certified fingerprints from Dhaka. It will be much faster if you still have your Bithaqa (Kuwait ID card).

What is PNWS? are you talking about proof of funds.

Dear Seniors/ Friends,

I've a query about Drafts that I need to carry as POF. I've a draft which will be 46 days old when I land in Canada on 14th Aug.
Is it ok to carry 46 days old draft? Draft is still valid..
Actually, I'd earlier planned to travel on 5th July so I had made this draft but I could not travel. Thinking that I'll lose money if I get the draft reissued I kept it as it is becuase the validity of draft is 3 months. But now I'm feeling very worried as it will be 45 days old.

Seniors please help guide.

Thanks.
Can

Dear All,

I had applied under FSW category in the policy launched in May 2013 and am the single applicant. I am well aware that for me the POF should amount to $11,824. But the thing is I have relatives in Canada, two aunts to be specific, both permanent residents and Canadian Citizens with their own households. One of them I have mentioned in my application and not the other. I have arranged to share my accommodations with the family that I have mentioned in my application. The point m trying to make is, since I already have accommodation and living/eating arrangements, Can it be that the funds that I show at POE be less than the $11,824. Say $9000 or $ 10000?? Will that be acceptable?

I will really appreciate your help and guidance in this regard.

Thanks in advance.

no, you have to show the funds required by cic as long as you are an FSW immigrant....those who do not require pof are family class immigrants who are being sponsored by a spouse, this is clearly not your case.
