Hi, i was interacting on this thread
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/doubt-regarding-proof-of-funds/-t95800.0.html

According to the discussion here since i sent in POF using a joint bank acc. shared with my mom, my chances of being rejected have increased incrementally. How true is this?

Should i open a new independent acc. and inform the CHC. Or wait for a request or worst rejection from there. I am a prejune with the second AOR dated June 2011. What step should i take?

Qorax i have already PMd u aswell, i hope you understand im just jittery and the aim is not to bother you...

Feedback welcome from all...

Thanks

-I've replied ur PM.
-A joint a/c with ur mom isn't acceptable.
-Though a freshly opened a/c will deem dubious [seem gifted or loaned money] - however, it's beter than having that joint a/c.

Qorax,

This whole joint account issue has gotten me a bit worried. I submitted my bank statements without knowing this was a problem. My parents are jointly in my account just in case something where to happen to me they could easily access my funds. I currently have a great paying job and my employment letter states the salary. I read the OP Manual and the CIC website and I found no mention of Joint accounts not being allowed. I am the primary account owner and this account has been oppened for 8-9 years.

My question is where are people basing claims of not being allowed a joint account? Will they immediately reject me or ask me for a new proof of fund? Also, wouldn't my salary justify indirectly my amount of savings? I do have another account for over a year with enough funds that is under my name but I did not submit it at the time I applied.

Here is the manual

Thanks!

hello,

Me and my husband is planning to do a landing only and will stay in Canada 1 month just so we can get the PR. Then, we'll be back to Abu Dhabi.
In this case, do we still need to bring the POF required?
Thanks

POF is to be shown at the time of landing. POF could be in the form of Cash or TC or DD. It's upto u either Bank the cash / DD or encash TC. If u don't, u will not be asked.

U can have DD from your bank in UAE, show it as proof of fund at the time of Landing and if u do not wish to deposit in Canada, bring it back to UAE and apply cancellation. I think it will hardly cost u 50 dirhams

Does anyone in this forum any idea if the visa office refuses when they found out that the POF in the bank is no longer exact or insufficient? Thanks

Hi!

According to my research and said by MR.QORAX visa office can never check funds directly from your bank. Its not in their powers and also due to data protection act in many countries they are not allowed to do so.

Thanks

Cock, thanks for the quick reply. We're so worried cause we used the money for emergency purposes but we try to cope up to be exact again.

Qorax

Dear Qorax,

I need your wisdom...i have already AOR but my POF in my bank is not enough at present as per CHC requirement...we used some funds for an emergency purposes. I'm worried of refusal due to insufficient funds. Will the VO office refuse me when they found out in my bank that i don't have sufficient funds? In the meantime we try to look for any means to abide on what the CHC requires regarding POF. Thanks

Don't worry friend...they never cross check with your bank...Mr cocknbull is correct.....

That's what I was thinking as well. Banks can never disclose exact amount of an account but still other members claim that Banks can "know" the exact figures. Out of anxiety, we had to put the money back yesterday though still 1ooo short.

Till you get the PR, please follow all the CIC rules...
