Item 20: Proof of Intention to Live in Canada

I have a great job offer in Canada with a salary of CAD$70,000 per year (please reference the letter attached with IMM5540). We also have a good amount of money saved in the bank (absolutely no debts of any kind) and a 2010 Chevrolet Cruze (we will probably get about CAD$13,000 when we sell it – based on estimates given to us by the dealership). My wife’s family is going to give us USD$10,000 to help with our relocation, and my family will help out with our living arrangements (please reference the letter attached with IMM5540), and if need be, money towards the purchase of a house. As you can see, both sides of the family are very supportive.

I have been in contact with the Royal Bank of Canada and the Bank of Montreal to enquire about mortgages (please reference printed e-mails attached with IMM5540). In addition, I have contacted realty brokers to get an idea of the current market for the area where my family will reside (please reference printed e-mails attached with IMM5540).

I am currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Management program at Athabasca University (ID XXXXXXX), and my goal is to complete this program by 2015. I understand that this is insufficient for immigration purposes, as courses can be done anywhere in the world, but I do want to demonstrate my commitment to life-long learning and my desire to better myself in order to provide a better life for my family. Courses taken overseas are significantly more expensive.

We have already decided to either sell all of our possessions, or give them to friends and family (aside from our car, of course). It would be great if we could sell everything, but if we are only offered a small amount of money, we would prefer to give our belongings to those we care about. It will be a simple matter to cancel our home phone and Internet connections, our cellular phone service, and our bank accounts. We really do not have much else to consider, so moving will only involve purchasing our tickets and arranging for our two dogs to travel with us. Everything else is ready; all we need is the opportunity to continue our life in Canada.

We have been planning this for quite some time, so we are very hopeful everything will work out. I am sure there will be unexpected details that arise, but together with our family in Canada, and our family in China, we will face any challenges and overcome them – we have to, because we really want our son, XXXX, to grow up in Canada.

I miss Canada so much! You have no idea! I am 35 and I feel I need to get back home before I am too old to re-establish myself. There is nothing I want more than to return home to Canada with my wife and son – I have been longing for this for years! I have been living in China for quite some time now, and although it has been a wonderful experience, I cannot wait to re-establish myself in Canada and settle down, once and for all, before it is too late.

This is for our future, for our son’s future, and for a better life. We pledge to work hard and achieve our potential, never to quit, and to always have a positive outlook!! You have our sincere commitment that we will fulfill our promises, of this you can be assured!

Perfect. You have more evidence than I do.

Job, mortgage, school, possessions..good job!

Great! I finally got it right the first time! Yay!

Thanks, guys, for your encouragement!
