Hi all,

I got a request from Warsaw VO to present proof of intention to reside in Canada.
I'm a canadian citizen, but for the last three years I live in Russia with my russian husband.
We submitted all proof we could get with our application:
- notirized letter from my parents in Canada, stating they will let us live in their house, along with proof of their ownership of house
- notirized letter from my parents, stating that they will provide both of us with job in family business
- documents proving they own business, etc
- letter from my employer in Russia, stating that my contract is up by end of 2015.
- letter from our friends and husbands family, stating they know about our intention to move to Canada right away.

I am quite confused to what else is out there I can get to prove.
I am not looking for apartement, because I know it's impossible until you get there. Same for the job, I actually plan to work for family business.

Any ideas are much appreciated.

Hmm. You provided lots, I'm surprised they asked for more. Maybe plane tickets, showing that you're going to fly to Canada at a certain time, or proof that you're vacating your home in Russia, like a lease end date, etc.

I know, right?

Plane tickets are non-refundable, and it's hard to say when they will issue a visa for my hubby.
And we are not renting, we live in our family's condo that we had for ages and have no intention to sell now or later.
I don't have an opportunity to quit my job now to return to Canada just because they need more proof.

We did some research on moving costs. That's the only thing I have...do you guys think this would work/be enough?

Any other ideas guys?

Or getting on a plane and waiting in Canada until the end of process for hubby to show that I've returned is the only option?
I really don't want to cut it like that...

Communicate time to time with your friend / family who reside in Canada and discuss about your plans to return Canada.
book your tickets one way only
If you have kids .. send queries to the schools for their admission.
Show your bank statement if you have maintained Canadian account.

It sounds to me as if the visa officer dealing with your application has overlooked the proof you sent. Before getting worked up about it, make a case-specific inquiry to the VO informing him/her of the proof you have already supplied and asking what other kind of proof he/she requires. Since there is usually a time limit set on any request from a VO. take care to reply within any such time limit.

hi Mercy24,

This is 4th time that I'm posting my below reply on this forum.

"hi Mercy24,

Yes, I did send case specific inquiry to LVO as you advised and waiting for their feedback. I remember that they will take 28 days to respond against any case specific inquiry so they might respond by 1st week of September-2015 but it depends either they respond or not. God knows..!! My wife will also visit to MP by next week and I look forward if they will be helpful for us.

Hoping for the best in this stressing condition. I'll keep you update. Tnx"
