Proof of health insurance covering the intended extension

Hello,

I am applying to extend my stay with an Open Work Permit while I wait for my PR to be approved.

If you are a participant in the International Experience Canada(IEC) program, provide proof of health insurance covering the intended extension to your length of stay in Canada

I'm just a little confused by this. Should i get insurance from the date my original insurance expires? How long should the insurance cover(As I don't know how long it will take for PR to be approved)? Do I need insurance once my PR is approved ?

Hi

As you applied outland, you do not qualify for an OWP on the basis of your PR app and IEC permits cannot be extended. You need to apply to change your status to visitor.
