Hi everyone.
I am a Canadian citizen living in Iran and I want to sponser my Iranian husband and move to Canada.
We have been married now for 3 years and living together the whole time. We have loads of pictures in the 4 years that we've been together. But to proove even more that are relationship is genuine is a translation of our joint bank account here in Iran helpful or not?
Since our apartment is in my name that won't do us any good.
Thanks alot.
Azadeh

i think you are more likely going to have trouble proving your intent to return to Canada...as for genuiness of relationship, provide lots of photos, your marriage certificate and perhaps some testimonials of some friends and family...has he ever been to canada to meet any of your friends and family here?

A joint bank account would be helpful, yes. See if you can prove as many as possible and appropriate of the things mentioned in the message at http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/spousal-sponsorship-t46995.0.html;msg357830#msg357830 and the one just below it.

I don't think you'll likely have trouble proving that your marriage is genuine if you've been lving together for 3 years and have some evidence of that. You also need future plans, including how you and/or your husband will provide financial support once you are in Canada. You should make some arrangements for a job and a place to live in advance if you can.

A joint bank account is very good evidence - better than a lot of things we send in. It shows your finances are intermingled, something that only people in a genuine relationship would do.
