Proof of Funds

Has anyone ever used their US 401K account as proof of funds?

Can this be easily converted to cash? If so this will not be a problem, just send a cover letter explaining how you will convert this to cash.

Include any official government forms or instruction for withdrawing funds. The official form should clearly explain criteria and you should then clearly explain how you meet that criteria for withdrawal.

The principal is that funds must be readily available for moving to Canada for your "landing". You risk rejection at the border if you cannot show sufficient funds on landing.
