Proof of Funds

Hi,

We are falling short of some amount which is to be shown as proof of funds. We are planning to borrow it from a family member. We plan to take the money and put it in FD in my account. But my question is can we? We received ITA in February. Would it be questionable if we take the money now?

Thank you guys! Alternatively can I transfer money from an account which I hold jointly with my mother? Would I need a declaration then also? Further, is there any format for the declaration/affidavit?
