Hello guys,

I have a quick question for you.
does a personal loan borrowed in 2015 will affect my immigration process in 2017.
it was not intended to immigrate just bought furniture and set my house up.

I am applying under the federal skilled worker:(2 people)
I have a current balance of about 18000$ CAD and monthly income
but I have my personal loan of the remaining balance of about 23000$ it was always been paid on time each month.

will I be refused?
how does it work?
please help

As long as you meet the minimum required funds AND those funds belong to you (not obtained through loans) then you're fine.

I agree with DelPiero07. Plus, AND as long as you MAINTAIN that minimum threshold uptill you land in Canada, you are good to go.

As far as i know and read posts in this forum, debt amount will be assessed against the available fund. That is why they ask applicants to show any debts, might be a credit card or a loan.
