The CIC wants my Husband to submit proof of funds. He has 4 pay stubs he can send them copies of (or the real ones I guess). We were wondering if that's enough. He could print off a bank statement but he only has $1,000 in his savings and we're not sure if that will not be sufficient for them. The pay stubs show that he gets payed well though.

We tried getting his bank to allow me to use his card (since we don't live together and don't have joint bank accounts) but they said they couldn't since I was in the states. Any advice?

That's weird, did they specifically say "proof of funds"? Because you don't need funds to sponsor. You just need to show you have an income so that you won't wind up on welfare. In any event, I would send in those pay stubs as well as his Option C printout and a letter from his employer stating how much he makes in a year.

Re-read the form again. I think you only have to submit proof of funds if you are self employed. (I could be wrong though) but that's how i understood it. As for financial support docs, you only need to send an Option C, and i sent some paystubs too. Hope that helps.:)

They sent you an email requesting this or are you talking about the forms when you fill your application?

If he's employed maybe get his employer to provide a letter indicating his salary. The pay stubs will work too, I would send photocopies unless they're asking for originals. Do you have children that are accompanying you into Canada?
