Hi seniors & all,

Just got an updated letter from cic-london requiring us to submit a new POF coz we have included the value of our property during docs submission. We now need to raise around $10k to be able to reach the required amount for a famly of 5 since the value of our property should not be included. I can raise that amount for a short period of time coz my brother can lend me that amount. My problem is... will CIC ask for a proof if that amount is really ours? I'm worried coz they might wonder on how we got that amount for a short period of time...

Your insights will be of great help! Thanks in advance! Good luck & God bless us all :) :) :)

Hi,

If you deposit the large sum into your account just before sending the statement then YES visa officer will ask you for the proof that it is your money, recently we have seen a case where visa officer just refused the case without giving a chance because applicant deposit the large sum of money into his account just before sending the documents so visa officer refused and stated that he is not convinced that these funds are his own to settle in Canada. So i would strongly suggest you to send the proof that funds are actually yours and you havent borrowed it from anyone.

Cheers
Saki

My friend, you are nearly reaching yours goals..!! but now you have to cross the biggest obstacle of convincing the VO, that the lum sum deposit is yours. Else they wont ask from you any fuRther explanation. Would just forward you the REFUSAL letter stating that we are not convince with YOUR POF..!!!

So just think wisely before taking any step, as it will be UR LAST STEP..!! Either letting you reach Canada or ...... !!

I pray for your best dear... BEST OF LUCK...

Hi Oh!Canada: did you declare in your docs that the $10,000 would come from property value in the first place? Are you planning to sell the property at this time or could you get additional mortgage funds against the property for the $10,000 you require? I am not an expert or a senior in this forum so please take this suggestion and think about it in that light. Perhaps the experts and seniors can comment on whether this would work. I know you are not allowed to take out a loan, but in this instance you are taking out a portion of the equity in your own property. It would also provide the proof you require to show it was your own money. If the unthinkable should happen that you do not get a visa at this time, you would still have your property. What do you think?
