Hi, I am ready to submit my application for immigration visa. However, on the application, I am asked to put down the amount I have in funds. As of now, I do not have the C$ 16,225.00 which would be for a family of three. However, I should have it all by the time they request it. What should I do? What amount should I list it on the application? If I list less than the requirements, will they deny my application?
Thank you.

I would put down that you have the amount that you need to have since you will not have to prove it until they ask. If you are applying for skilled worker though, you might want to wait until they publish the new rules they are already working by.

Yes, I am applying as skilled worker. When do you think the new rules should come out?

Thanks.

They are expected in November. Might depend on who wins the election. For what we know, they are planning to post a list of 38 occupations. If your occupation is not on the list, you can not apply as a skilled worker. If your occupation is on the list, you may still need a job offer to apply, they have not clarified that yet.

If you can not apply as a skilled worker, you can still immigrate but you would need a job offer and a temporary work permit and apply for permanent residency after you arrive as a provincial nominee or after 2 years of working under the canadian experience class.
