Hi, we're in the process of compiling our documents for Federal Skilled Worker application (and are looking at proof of settlement funds.
It says the funds have to be net of debts. Do we have to provide proof of debts such as credit card statements to show how much debt we have as well as how much funds we have? Or is credit card debt etc permitted as long as the repayments don't encumber your settlement funds?
Also my wife has a student loan, which only requires small repayments per month, does the entire balance of this count against our funds or only the repayments?
We're probably intending to get house valuations and a mortgage statement to use our equity as proof of funds, but need to know about the debt situation also and what documentary proof we need that our assets exceed our debts etc.
Thanks for any advice,
Wayne.
