Hello guys I hav a question about POF on landing????????????
I am planning to take $5000 in cash and $10,000 in my A/C with JP Morgan Chase bank (USA).
My question is if I take a statement for the $10,000 in my A/C will they accept that as the funds can be transferred to a Canadian bank A/C with a check.
Or the other option is I can carry Cashiers checks.....
Which is better.....
Please suggest.
Thank You.

I landed in Sept at Toronto, nobody checks for funds they just ask you how much funds you have with you. Hope this helps. Asif

Bank statements should be ok. I landed last month in Toronto with just $580 cash and rest in bank statements from HSBC. but they din ask any questions abt funds.

Thank you guys for the replies.
Theyr useful..

95% of the times @ the POE, the IO rarely checks for your fund they just asked how much you're carrying...for the remaining 5%, some IO asks and want to confirm the amount you stated by counting the cash so the precise amount can be documented on your immigration papers(whereas some will count it, stop halfway and still record your claim)

The case/probability at which you would be denied entry based on your proof of funds is very negligible; except you don't have any funds @all or it's just damn too small...

Hope this helps...
All the best!

thank you donwin4real!
