Proof of Funds - I am confused....?!

I get Acceptance letter for 1 year study in Canada. I plan go there with my wife.

We must show the paid tuition fee for one year college (we have that), and the proof of funds for two us for one year (10 000CA + 4 000CA= 14 000CA).

Questions:

1. Can I show my wifes visa account with money (she already have about 20 000CA)? It is enough? Or she must write a letter that she will providing us...? (she will come with me in Canada)?
2. Or I can show the account for example of my sister and she must write a letter that she will providing us with money?

Both options are valid...

But i would suggest to also attach certificates of property (such as cars, homes, etc), bank certificates, salary certificates, anything you can attach will be fine....
