Hi All,

I'm planning to apply via VFS this time. I'm bewildered by how proof of funds work.
I will go for a 5 days trip to Toronto. I have 5000 CAN in my bank now but they are asking for a 6 months statement.
Does that mean that I need to have 5000 CAN throughout that 6 months period? That's my savings account and it gradually increases every month.
Will that be a possible cause of rejection if I don't have 5000 CAN in 6 months?

Thanks

Hi,

What matters is the bank balance at the time of applying for your TRV.

As long as the deposits (over the 6 months period) are consistent with your income/monthly expenses, you'll be fine

Cheers

Hi,

I am applying for TRV, without a Leave letter. I have employment proof letter. Will it cause a rejection, All my leaves are exhausted and project requirement will not allow me to take official leave. Please guide me.

If I'm the Consul, I will think that your job is not a paramount thing for you (you will go out of country without informing them) and your job is one factor for you to go back to your home country.

Hi,

When applying for a visiting visa, do you think we need to include leave letter from the employer, if the applicant is working? Is it mandatory?

Please let me know.

Thanks.

It is not mandatory.

However, it shows one good reason to return home to. It's best to include it if someone has no other ties/weak ties (property ownership, family, finances, etc)
