In what way can I show my proof of funds?

Aside from my parents' bank statements and salary certificates, is getting a loan from a bank here in United Arab Emirates (UAE) acceptable as one of the documents to be submitted as proof of funds?

Profile:
I am 17, still a dependent of my parents. Filing a study permit application for Fall 2014.

Cheers!

According to CIC:

You can prove that you have sufficient funds to support yourself in Canada by showing some of the following:

- proof of a Canadian bank account in your name if money has been transferred to Canada;
- proof of a student/education loan from a financial institution;
- your bank statements for the past four months;
- a bank draft in convertible currency;
- proof of payment of tuition and accommodation fees;
- a letter from the person or institution providing you with money; and
- proof of funding paid from within Canada if you have a scholarship or are in a Canadian-funded educational program.

As you can see, an education loan is on the list, thus it is acceptable.

Non of the banks are providing 6 months average balance on their letterhead, however they are only providing the following:
  • be printed on the financial institution’s letterhead
  • include their contact information (address, telephone number and email address)
  • include your name
  • list outstanding debts such as credit card debts and loans
  • include, for each current bank and investment account, the
    • account numbers
    • date each account was opened
    • current balance of each account
And bank statements separately. The are not willing to mention 6 months average balance on their letterhead.
Kindly guide

There is no requirement for a 6 month average balance statement. I don't know why people complicate things. Neez has provided a list of acceptable documents. You do not need to provide all of those documents listed either. It's about providing sufficient proof that you can pay for your fees and upkeep in Canada. Nothing more and nothing less.

so do not complicate things because it will complicate your application later on, make it simple.

open your bank account online and print the bank statement (deposits and withdrawals) and go to the bank and stamp it for verification (i did not stamp it)

if your parents are the ones that are sponsering you:
1- write an affidavit from your parents stating that they will support you until the end of your study.
2- attach the employ certificate of your parents (that they are working as XXX and since XXX)
3- their passport
4- Bank statement

Merge the list above and upload it in the financial support field.
