Hi all,

Can my dad or sister give me money for funds maintainance? Will that be acceptable?Iam married and have a baby. Who is better dad or sister?do I need a letter from them?

Either one will do.

You would need a letter from them stating that the money is a gift and not a loan and you will also need proof of transfer of such funds.

Your dad should transfer so there is proof of where those funds are coming from, if you deposit the funds with cash you'd be taking a risk.

You need the funds when submitting your eAPR and ideally you should not touch those funds until you obtain PR as they whole purpose of them is for you to settle in Canada.
