proof of funds for landing

Hi guys,

i have the exact amount mentioned by CIC for application for 2 users(15k CAD) and addition of 1000CAD.i will be carrying the 1000CAD as cash how do i show and carry the amount i had kept to show CIC(15k CAD)? as i might need to tap into it once i reach canada.

If it is in your bank account then you can get latest bank statements and a balance certificate on bank letter head(stamped). That would suffice.
They usually do not even question on proof of funds so how to transfer is a very rare one.
I, too had this question before I was to leave. So, I ensured the following from my side
- have international debit card for that account.
- have internet access to that account

Also, there is no restriction that proof of funds should be in the same format as it was at the time of filing the PR application. You can move the funds to an international Canadian account, get demand draft or travellers cheque made.
The only thing you have to ensure is that source of money is legal.
