Proof of Funds - First Landing in Canada as a Permanent Resident

Hi,

I was a student in the US who recently moved back to India. I was wondering if I can show my bank statements that are still open in the US and have enough funds for the covering my expenses in the initial few months living in Canada. And as these funds are readily available in my debit card will that be acceptable or I need to show something else. Any kind of guidance is highly appreciated.

From US banks, a print out of bank statements is enough.

Thank you does it need to be attested or can it just be a print out? As I am in India right now and can't really go back to get it.

I showed just print out of the US bank statements. No attestation or notarization. If you are landing via air then 90% chances are that CBSA officer won't event ask for Proof of Funds.
