Proof of Funds - Eligible Investments

Is Recurring Deposits considered as eligible investment for Proof of Fund requirement purposes. Recurring Deposits can be liquidated at any point, but there is no mention of this investment anywhere. Can anyone please confirm?

Will your bank give you a letter on their letter head stating this? I recommend these funds not be the ones you are relying on as PoF, but additional to what you show, to be on the safe side.

Also if some of the funds are new, does a bank statement suffice to show the source.
