hey everyone

wanted to know that the total amount of 10,000 dollars need to be shown over a period of 6 months in a bank statement or just one months statement ( recent) is enough.

Lova

Depends on the office, most request 3-6 months bank statements.

My letter says :

Evidence of your solvency (proof of funds) such as a detailed letter from your bank of accountant showing all your assets and liabilities or bank statements.

It does not specify how many months of the bank statements. So can I just send 1 or two months bank statements then?

Thanks

usually it's the 6 month period, but you can try the latest statement too, not all have 6 months statement history.

hmmm

i think i ll try the latest statement..actually no option left but that ...

lets see..fingers crossed :)

have a good luck, lova! and please keep us updated.

Hello
I have a question regarding proof of funds too, hope we all can discuss and shed some light on the topic. I do banking with 4 different banks and i have an account with most of them; but none of them has complete necessary funding and to say some of them has very less amount. Beside even withing banks, there are different accounts. What should I do?

Option # 1
Deposit all the money from different banks into one accounts and provide them the bank certicate. The problem is it will looks like i have burrowed money from others as it will have a net big deposit.

Option # 2
Send the bank certificate and statements from all banks. probably 4 banks with 6 account with 6 months statement that will be huge. I am not sure that the people who check our paperwork will read and add all those certificates and statements. Do not want to take a risk of that either.

Suggestions will be appreciated.

hey according to me, if you have enough time like 6 months to make a good statement..then pool in all money in one bank to make a good statement..dont worry that it may appear as you have borrowed ..i think consistency of the account is more important....that means...the required amouunt is maintained in ur account over a period of time

cheers

Dear Sagar,

It doesn't matter if it's one bank or many. Until & unless CIC specifies now many months, just one month's statement/s would do. I sent only 1 months.

For multiple a/cs, submit all the a/c statements alongwith a consolidated summary letter, numbering them, sequentially. That would do. I did that too, as I also had funds in various forms. And they went beyond the required P of F. This must be in your case too.

Regards.

Hello All
Thanks for your suggestion especially Lova and Qorax. I really appreciate it.

Lova: I do not think I have 6 months time.

Qorax: The visa office specific form for Buffalo specifically stated statements for six months.
Thanks

Sagar,

In that case, obviously 6 months it should be. But, I do understand that it would be a daunting task for you. So, select the best 2-3 bank a/cs that would comply with the P of F limit.

Regards.

3 months statement is enough
