I am the primary candidate. We have been saving required funds.
Do i have to provide my spouse statements as well?? He has a car loan.
If we must show this, then we will consider clearing out the loan before providing POF.

Car loan and housing loans are not a problem.

If you can show the required funds in your account itself, there is no need to show spouse account statements.

Thank you. However the required funds is in our joint account. Would they ask for my spouse statement then?

You can show the joint account statement. In addition, you can get a declaration from your spouse in plain paper stating that he/she has no objection to your usage of mentioned funds for the Canadian immigration purpose. There are templates available in the forum for the declaration.

I am also assuming your spouse is accompanying you to Canada.

They will never ever ask the account statement of your spouse..

Also, CIC is only interested in the money you would be bringing to Canada...
and has nothing to do with the credit history, loans, credit card debit in your country..
