Proof of fund

Hello,

I have a quick question regarding the OINP Proof of Funds (POF).

The required settlement fund minimum is $15,000 CAD. My current bank statement shows $16,000 CAD.

The OINP application fee is $1,500 CAD.

If I pay the fee from the $16,000, my balance will drop to $14,500 (below the $15,000 minimum).

Will OINP officers deduct the $1,500 application fee from my shown $16,000 balance?

Essentially, must the application fee be covered separate from the required minimum settlement funds?

Settlement fees are separate from any application fees and any other costs like ECA, language tests etc. so you need to show a balance meeting POF, and need to maintain until approved for PR.
