Hi there. So I am starting to feel hopeless. As I have a score close to the last draw I started gathering all the documents.
When it comes to the proof of funds, I called my bank today and they told me they do not do anymore (since Jan 1st!!!!!) the status inquiry that would show the information needed by the CIC. So now, all I have is my last 6 months bank statement, a paper showing the opening date of each account and the average balance (but they have been printed at the bank and there is no letterhead) and nothing to show that I do not have any debts :(

I'm getting desperate, please tell me what could I do. If it help my bank is the stupid Lloyds of London

Don't panic, that's all I will have.

Can I suggest you do what I am going to do? I'm going to write to Lloyd's bank and at the post office get a certified copy of my letter of complaint. I'll write "your staff have been helpful however I am disgusted that a customer of 20 years cannot get a letter printed. I need this for immigration. Can you please produce a letter including the following xxxxxxx if not please respond to this letter outlining why you can't..."

Going to write to COMPLAINTS. With my complaint letter and their response I'm going to to submit stamped bank statements. That's all I can do.

I haven't written yet, butyea that's the complaints address I found.

I've been talking to them for mo the in branch and on the phone. They told me they haven't written those letters for a long time. They said they don't even have letter headed paper in branch!

I have an account opened in childhood and another account opened in June this year with my partner. I have the letter they gave me with the pack when we created the account to...But guess what....There's no date on it! Ugh. Just going to complain and send CICwhatever they send back with my bank statements :) all we can do.

That's crazy!
From the branch I managed to have a paper stating the opening date but it's not on letterhead indeed :/ nor is the average balance paper.
But ya nothing to prove I have no debts nor loans. And being away from the UK, I can even ask the credit score check. Its an administrative nightmare lol

Hopefully we will be ok

I've seen people submit just bank statements and get their PR. The more you can submit the better :)

The thing I would do if I were stuck in your case is to search for a bank that accepts to write that letter. Then transfer all your funds to your new bank, save your 6-month statement from bank A including the statement showing the fund transfer, then get that damn letter from bank B!!! Make you you explained your situation in LOE.
I'm afraid complaining wouldn't help your case move.
Maybe by threatening to close your account at bank A would halo you get that letter too.

Well the point of a complaint letter (and a certified copy) is to give that to CIC to prove we tried to get the letter. It's not a complaint, it's proof of effort :) Also I'm not moving all my money over just for this!

THe problem is Im not in the UK anymore, and I've half the fund on a new account, Im afraid if the CIC sees two new accounts they'll think its not legit

The problem is that CIC specifically wants that letter, not the bank statements.
Why would you continue doing business with a bank that doesn't provide you basic services.

No, just provide proof of transfer. It's not like it is laundered money lol
