Hi,

Do I need to translate the emails, facebook messages etc. from our native language to English when I include these as part of proof of constant communication with my husband?

Appreciate your thoughts on this.

Yes, I'm pretty sure you have to. Either in english or french.

yes all documents must be translated ....

Translation of documents

Any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by:

the English or French translation; and
an affidavit from the person who completed the translation; and
a certified copy of the original document.

Hmm. I don't know how can you literally translate e-mail, skype conversation from native language to english. Is this really nessesary? If you translated, don't they gonna ask an interpreter anyway if your translation was right? Is is not a birth certificate or marriage certificate...

yes it is really necessary. if you want these things to be considered in your app they must be able to read them.
an affidavit from the person who completed the translation
the affidavit will be how the interpreter authenticate's it. anything you send in with the application is supporting documents to the application no matter what it is, a copy of a plane ticket, receipts booking trips together etc... no matter what it is it has to be read by the VO therefore, must be in English or French.
