I just received confirmation the application for Proof of Citizenship is being processed. All correspondence related to the application is addressed to my maiden name however all my current legal documents are with my married name.
On the application it asked if you were interested in using a name other than that is on the birth certificate; I checked yes and provided my marriage certificate and proof of name change (as is my current passport and other documentation).
Is my maiden name being used on correspondence because it is what is on my birth certificate and once it's processed it'll switch to married? I just don't want their to be issues since my legal name in the US is no longer my maiden name.
