Hi all,

I needed some help finding a program. I am currently on a study permit for a masters degree. I had to withdraw from my current program and now i have 4 months till my study permit expires. I want to get an admission in some Diploma course in Calgary or any place else which will give me a post graduate work permit and I don't have to get a new study permit to study.

Thanks

I am assuming that you did not study after opting out of the program. If yes, what were you doing?
The reason I ask is because you may have to submit your transcripts for the study program or show what you have been doing in this time when an extension is asked for.

I just withdrew from my masters degree day before yesterday. So I am thinking if I could get an admission in some project management course in the next 4 months in Calgary, I can apply an extension on my study permit based on the admission offer from the new program.

The reason I am asking for help finding a program is that I am not aware of all the immigration laws and I want to enter a short program (1 year or less) that leads to a post grad work permit.

Any help is appreciated

I am not aware of the courses available in Calgary but if you are okay to relocate, then there is Project Management (8 month) , post graduate program at Humber. Currently, May intake is still running so you can call them quick to see if there are seats available.
In btwn, you should complete a program of atleast 8 month duration from CIC approved colleges/university's to be eligible for PGWP.

If you don't complete your current course and apply for new course and which is also below par then in my opinion it will be very difficult for you to get study permit extension.....
