Notice that you have an expiry date on your study permit approval letter and it is stated that you have to enter canada before that date. So as long as you enter before the prescribed date (also the expiry date of the temporary resident visa in your passport), you are just fine.

BTW what do you mean by "current offer expired in Sep-20"?

I have been admitted for Fall-2001. and that offer expires on September-20.
If I defer my admission to January, will that be a problem if I obtain a letter from the University? Or I should enter Canada and come back again?

I guess u mean Fall 2011. And exactly what do you mean by the offer expiry? Didn't you accept the admission? Did you get your study permit?

Dear Hasan,

I have accepted the Offer. But on that letter, it says it expires on September 20, 2011.
My VISA is TRV and I am still in Bangladesh, so no study permit yet.
Should I wait to get the recommended deferral letter (if I get one) or enter Canada, get the permit and then come back to BD? (this will be costly!)

O you are a fellow Bangladeshi :D Hello bro,

Well yah I know there is no study permit yet but you did get the approval letter along with the TVR right? Now about the deferral, you don't have to go there, get your permit and come back - that's insane :P The expiry date that is mentioned on your acceptance letter is (I am pretty sure) the deadline for accepting the offer. You will get your study permit as long as you enter the Canada within the expiry date mentioned on the TVR and on the letter of approval for study permit. Just contact with the university and ask them to send you the deferral letter and once you are in Canada in Jan, just present them the offer letter and the deferral letter and there will be no problem inshallah. Hope I have cleared your confusion. BTW which university and program are you going for?

Hi Hasan, thanks!

I will be going to University of Alberta!

Actually, I am waiting for the response of TRV! Will there be any expiry date to entry to Canada? How many days is that? will that cover December?

btw, where are you going?

Thanks again!

WOW u going to UoA?? :O Sweet! Which program? COngrates! I got rejected for my master :P Going to uCalgary.

They generally give a 1.5years of TRV so as long as you enter Canada within that period of time and give the proper documents at the port of entry, it will not be a problem.

Hello Hasan!

Sorry for late reply.
Program is Pharmacy!

Calgary is very near to Alberta, what's your program?
