Hi

I really need some help here as I'm struggling to get a straight answer from WES. I am a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) and am trying to figure out how to submit my professional qualification (CA(SA)) to WES. There doesn't seem to be much guidance on the website for this. Basically I have a degree, two postgraduate degrees and the CA(SA) designation (member of South African Institute of Chartered Accountants).

For my university degrees I understand how that works and am fine. The question is do I submit my professional certificate as higher education along with my degrees or is there another way of getting the professional qualifications verified?

Thanks in advance and I hope someone can help here are as I just need this questions answered before i get the ball rolling on my application.

thanks

WES can only verify your degrees not certicicaitons. u have to get in touch with CPA CGA equivalent chapters in Canada to get the equivalency done for CPA CGA designation. Canada is has its own unique framework for such certifications. good luck.

HI .. Im also from South Africa with a CA (SA) qualification with SAICA and battling to get clarity from the advisors handling my IRCC application as well as WES and the other ECA organisations. Please confirm the steps I must take to get my CA (SA) qualification accredited for ECA purposes and to improve our CRS score for PR purposes. Will be much appreciated.

See answer provided above. You'll get points for your degree. But you won't get additional points for your CA qualification. This is a certification and not a diploma / degree. So no additional CRS points.
