Dear All,

I am sharing my exp and process of ading New Born..if Child is born after receiving PRVs and before landing::

1. Please get Birth Crtificate and Passport arranged ASAP (very obvious and mandate docs )
2. Send your existing stamped PPs and COPRs to relevant VO.
3. Also attach IM0008, Visa Replacement Fees (17 CAD) for exisitng members for those who already have the VISAs Visa Fees for new born child (150 CAD)
4. Consulate would send Med request for new born and Cancelled (Cancelled without Prejudice) PPs back.
5. Once Meds are done. Send all the PPs, including new borns, back to VO
6. Entire process is quite lengthy. Atleast in my case it was, it took almost 6 months to get the VISAs reissued.

Thanks

Thanks Scorpion30
Well done ... good information..
It means after passport stamped by V.O still we can add new born if we unable to fly and there is
no need to repeat the whole process means new application with new policy.

Waiting for re-issue of pr visa's after new child birth.

Hello. I applied and got my, my wife's and my first child's immigration visa's under FSW category in just five and a half months in june 2012 at NDVO. My wife was pregnant at the time of medical's and so was mentioned in her medical report as well. We didn't go to Canada as per the instructions in our COPR's and returned the passport's and COPR's along with all other document's as asked by the immigration authorities in their mail in august 2012 along with the medical of the new child. Since then we are just waiting for our visa's. The cic website does not show anything to check what's the status of our case. So. we are confused as to what could be done to check our application status? Could someone help? Thanks.

If I had no plans to go then I would not have applied for PR, isn't it my friend? But yes, it was clearly mentioned in our COPR paper's that we should inform the high commission about any change in our family composition before landing in Canada if some change occurs like as in our case a second child was born after we recieved our PR but before landing. So we returned our passports and COPR's and submitted other documents as asked by them and now are waiting for our passports with our newly issued visa's and COPR's.

Proess for Adding New Born_90 days limit for documents submission

Hello every body.
we (me and my wife) got medical exams call but we could not conduct that due to birth of a new baby. We Informed VO about his birth, and they asked us to submit all the (Passport, QSC, etc) docs in 90 days, failing to do so will lead to reprocessing of application. I am sure that we will not be able to send these documents in 90 days (Passport takes alot of time 3-4 months).

"Please note that we will add your child to your existing file and issue the medical instructions if all the required documents are received at this office within 3 months from the date of this letter or from the birth of your child. Otherwise, you will be required to submit a new application and pay new processing fees. The new application would be assessed according to the Canadian Immigration Act and Regulations in force at that time".

Is there any solution to avoid the reprocessing of application?

1) Is it possible to get more time for submission of child's docs.
otherwise
2) Is it possible to got process our (both) application (without submitting child's passport) and sponsor him later?

Thanks in advance for quick response.

Hello
90 days are enough to get the passport made in tatkal and it being sent to the high commission along with other documents. As you have informed them about the child already you should get the child added to your application now as later you may face problems.
