Hi all

So my lawyer just got in touch to say she'd contacted CIC for an update on my applications - of course the note they got back was very generic but interesting comment about processing timeline:::

Dear Sir/Madam,
In response to your email, your application is currently in queue for review by an officer.
Current approximate processing times for Canadian Experience Class applications is 12 to 15 months.
No further action is required on your part at this time.
You will be contacted should further information be required or regarding the next steps in your file.
Regards,

I'm wondering if the timeline has been changed from other messages people have received or if this has always been the case.

Thanks!

I think as a result of the strike they are trying to give you a realistic timeframe in which the application can be processed.

I don't think it means it will take this long, as it's not the processing VO responding. We just have to hold in there.

Fantastic, but no surprise here! The strike certainly had an impact and while we have seen an increase in MRs, I think the backlog will take its toll on timelines.

Thanks for sharing!!

I was given the exact same time frame two days ago when I called the hotline.

It's the new, we are ****** timeline! Backlog backlog backlog.

One step forward, 10 steps back!

Gotta love the new and improved just in time immigration system. ;)

I don't think I am. I think this is the standard note when people enquire about their file.
I had ordered gcms this week anyway so I guess we'll see
