Processing Time Question

Unfortunately, the processing time is the same for everybody. So your processing time might vary and can go up/down in time. This is almost 30 months now, so ridiculously unnecessary.

Yep, we were on the same boat. I can't remember exactly what the processing times were when we applied but I believe it was about 22-26 months.
We got really lucky and got processed within a year. We weren't asked for any additional docs either which usually delays the process for about 3 months.
On that note, when I became a PR the processing time for receiving the card was 41 days. I landed in September. Still no card. CIC just extends the processing times to 71 days now and gives the Card Processing Centre a lifelong extension of application.
