My app was delivered on Oct 21, yesterday got answer, that my application is waiting for review...

Hi Verveiko, I guess I am on the exact same boat. Mine was received on 22nd Oct. But one question is crossing my mind that where did you got the answer that your application is waiting for review?
Do they send the email before reviewing or you enquired about it?

Your quick response is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Shaun.

Thanks, Please keep us posted as you get any response from them. Or anyone whose application was received on or after Oct-22. Thanks again.

I sent my application in on the 19th Oct, 2012 by Xpresspost. In my application package I had a self addressed (return) Xpresspost for them to send my passport back (like they stated on their website).
Application was received on 22nd Oct, 2012 but without any signature
So I snet an email yesterday for application status update and I received this email:

Dear Client,

Your application was approved. Your passport was sent 08 November. Please note that we do not have a tracking number on file. If you did not include a prepaid Canada Post envelope, your passport would have been returned via regular mail.

Sincerely,

Has anyone experienced this? where your Xpresspost envelope is just lost in the system somewhere. I sent Xpresspost because I need my passport back without delays.

Well I should expect then today or tomorrow, I have prepaid envelope and tracking number, but it's still not-trackable. Will see.

Hi Verveiko,

still can't track ur's? This whole TRV thing is just driving me nuts. I sent them an email and I got the "in the queue" response. My application was received on the 30th of October. Seeing that ur's was received on the 22nd makes me scared cos my ticket is already booked for the 23rd of November. Also seeing that they sometimes forget to use the express envelope provided for then is also scary. Do u think the fact that I put a copy of my ticket in there will even help my case?

Hi guys,

I just got my passport back today through regular mail. The point is I prepaid 2 xpresspost and I dont know why CPP sent it back to me in the "old fashioned" way. Anyways, here is my timeline.

Sent on: Oct 16,2012.
Received by CPP-Ottawa: Oct 18,2012.
Visa issued on : Nov 1,2012
Returned by regular mail on : Nov 9,2012.

For people who are waiting and tracking their Xpresspost , be prepared that it might be delayed since they will be back through regular mail.

Good luck everyone!

I dont think sending the ticket helps in any way, because once the officer reviews the file visa is issued right after that. They dont even know until they reveiew the docs that ticket is in there. ...Its just my opinion. However, from others it seems wait from 2-3 weeks, so you should be OK
