Processing time-- Ottawa (CPP-O)-- application of re-entry visa

CPP Ottawa recieved my TRV (student) application on 26th July 2012 and I got my passport with visa delived today (24 July 2012).

CPP-O got my application on July 19th and I still have not got my passport back :-( Anyone in the same scenario?

My application was received on July 2 and I still have no response. Inaccurate information about the processing time on their website made me to change my ticket twice, and I finally ended up cancelling my whole trip. I don't really know why this government breaks down a working system on visa and starts a pilot project with absolutely no preparation. I experienced the same situation 2 years ago when they suddenly appointed a new centre for renewal of study permit applications for students.

At this point, I just hope that they finalize my application sometime in the next week since I have to attend a conference and I need my Passport. As a tax payer in this country I will place a complain through the MP (member of parliament) in my region if they don't finalize my application in 60 days. I know nothing serious would change with this system but at least they wont fall in the misunderstanding that this situation is OK or normal or anything appropriate.

Hi All, CPP-O received my file on 30th july for re-entry visa (student) and I got my passprt bck today 29 Aug stamped . This thread was a stress reliever and helped a lot in keeping track.

On the other hand, I see people getting their visa in less than four weeks. In my case it is more than a month and a half, whereas your application was nearly two months ago. This huge difference in timeline does not make sense.

I have applied for TRV three times before and never the processing time exceeded four weeks.

Guys, I have just checked my XpressPost tracking number, it says that Item Delivered on August 30. I hope everything is OK inside the envelope.
They received my application on Aug 2, thus it took exactly 28 days=4 weeks. Good luck


UPD: It was a stamped passport with a multiple-entry visa for the whole term of my work permit. I saw an issue regarding the category; mine is W-1. As such I have no complaints regarding TRV, it was processed accordingly and in due time.

i got my TRV (work visa) to enter canada on 30th august....my tracking showed that they received the application on 3rd august and i got my visa stamped on 30th august.......exactly 4 weeks processing time.....

Hello guys... I submitted my trv on august 27. As I reviewing the application form, I noticed that in previous 10 years of employment section, I gave my current employment details, my previous 1 year employment details, my 2 year study period in Canada, so the three sections are full. I did not attach a separate sheet explaining the previous history. So my question I'd can I sen the sheet to the CPP Ottawa through fax? Or should I courier?

they ccp ottawa received my passport August 8, 2012... i got my passport with visa and the date of issuance was August 29, 2012 it took 21 days to process!! thank God!...

I believe that the CPP-O received my application on 14th August for Worker TRV. I still dont have my passport. Anyone who applied after and received the passport?

Hey, I just checked the tracking. It says the CPP-O has returned the passport today and has been accepted by CanadaPost. Lets hope they have stuck in the Visa ;D

CONGRATS!!!......I sent my application for TRV (student) on 17th august they received on 20th august I haven't got my passport back yet I am so worried as I already booked my ticket to India on 23rd Sept hopefully i will get my passport back by then

Application Received: Aug 14th
Visa Stamped: Sept 7th
Passport Received: Sept 11th

So i guess you shud receive the passport by next week. Good luck with your trip to India..

for those that applied TRV in-canada, did you include a pre-paid expresspost return envelope with tracking #?

also, for those that paid online, for "payer information", do I put information of the person who made the payment? or should I put my info?
