Hey guys, hello people's! I finally made it to make up an account here. I applied for inland sponsorship September 17 2013. Application has been officially received from CIC on this date. After waiting 1 year and 3 months (they get busier and busier) I received an information letter December 2014 regarding missing or completing documents. CIC also provided a deadline which is 24 March 2015 to have these documents submitted. Well...I sent them afap. Now I was watching the online processing times last week and it indicated that they re working on application received in September 17 2013 (my date Wohoo). This week I looked again and the date has moved on without me receiving any email or letter from CIC. So my question is now: do I have to follow the deadline or the online processing times? Don't wanna be told afterwards that my supporting documents were not received which could lead to refusal. What u guys think? Thanks already and keep ur self busy and patient guys. It ll all work out the way u wish. Mirjam (Germany)

It's possible they gave you a "bring forward" date. That means they requested docs from you with a deadline of March 24, and no matter how quickly you submitted those docs your app may not be looked at again and considered on-hold until March 24.

This is why people are always recommended to do as much as they can up-front and ensure everything is accurate, to limit the times CIC needs to request things from you and possible delay your processing time.
