Processing Time Confusion

Look i'm kindda confused about something, it says that Processing times for the PR are 6 months to 12 months right?

But on the London CHC website it is mentioning that processing time is like 3 years?

I'm kindda confused. Can someone clarify please?

It might be the old processing time. There isn't enough data on the new process to update the timelines.

Note they only started process FSW 1 applications in November, those times are for 2007. Don't forget that there are about 800K applications in the backlog that still have to be processed that were submitted prior to Feb/08.

That is true and would be great in a more perfect world. it is frustrating to wait, but its an unequal relationship between an applicant and CIC.

what is the reference point for counting 6 to 12 months?
Is it date of submission, AOR or initial assessment?
I suspect that they start counting from the date of initial assessment

i am making a wild guess but it might be the date of the AOR from the visa office for the applicants after nov 2008.
for applicants between feb and nov 2008, it might be the time after initial assessment. (just guessing).
