PROCESSING TIME COMPLETE - Express entry

I wish my message finds you in your best.

So, i just completed my express entry processing time of 6 months on 27th Apr 2020 but my case is still in process.

I raised a web form also and they said that my security screening is in process.

I am from Pakistan and i have studied in USA. What is security check and how long does it take ?

I also have my GCMS notes and i did not find any red flags or anything adverse in my GCMS notes.

Please note that i have paid the Fees and RPRF fee also.

All documents provided as required. Last time they requested additional documents (Travel history & SCHEDULE-A) back in January. After that, complete silence.

Can you please share your thoughts ?

You should not be expecting your application processing to be completed in six months. IRCC has announced that while processing of applications continues, everything is delayed due to COVID-19. Expect longer processing times for your application.

But why do they every time say security check in progress ? I mean, they can simply say delays due to COVID-19 ?
