hi guys

Im just wondering if i can send Processing fee and permanent Resident fee at the same time?
Can I sponsor my husband to be even if i only have 9 months income? I landed here last July 9, 2009 and ive just started to work last Sept.3. Im planning to go back home next year and marry my bf.

Thanks

It's preferable that you pay all fees upfront, since that way the processing centre doesn't have to send you a letter, ask for the next payment and so on and so forth.
Sponsoring a spouse is exempt from income requirements.

Still, remember that your fiancée is not eligible to apply unless you've co-habited for more than one year or gotten married. If you are common-law it could, however, be tricky to prove that your relationship is still ongoing since you've lived apart for half a year.

thanks swede, no we were not common-law we have son but we never lived together, we were planning to get married next year and then go back here and sponsor him, so it is possible that i can sponsor him right away.. thanks for the info :) :) :)

Who recieves the letter for paying the permanent resident fee, by the way? (fingers crossed it's the applicant, not the sponsor!) ;-)

it would be both. ONT Mississauga sent me one letter to pay for landing fee and also my wife in her country from local visa office. thanks

in our case we paid them in advance. but I heard that usually the sponsored spouse receive a letter to pay fees that were not paid.

Thank you. I (applicant) am paying for the initial $550 as well as the permanent resident fee. It's a lot easier for us that way.

hi Suin, in our case she received the letter in her home country and asking for 4 recent passport photos, and also states that tell your spouse to pay the landing fee. After a week, I received a letter from Mississauga, ontario to pay the landing fee. thanks

Shawn
