Process of collecting a PR card

I understand that to apply for a PR Card we need to mail the application to CPC in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

This is done once an applicant lands in Canada.

The process further says that the CPC will mail applicant about where to pick up the PR cards and for these we need to take the required documents with us.

Here my query is, if the applicant is not available in Canada to collect the PR card can he/she nominate someone to collect it on his/her behalf?

I have made my travel arrangements for next month and would be returning back in a months time so this information is essential for me...waiting for an expert opinion on this forum.

No need of nomination. Just share the address where PRCs are supposed to be delivered in Canada, at the time of landing with IO. Mailing is allowed from / to canada to you anywhere.

You dont need to mail the application to NS, Sydney. It will be done by the IO at POE ...you just have to provide an Canadian Address where the PR cards would be delivered.

Be advised that you will have to avail proper Travel documents when you decide to re enter Canada in case you do not receive them.

Ok, so this means we need to be ready with the completed application forms at the POE, is that a correct interpretation?!!

I might be mixing things, actually I was following IMM 5445 guide and it says to mail the application to the CPC?!! ???

What application forms you are talking about?

You just need to show COPR letter, your Passport, and the Goods accompanying and to follow forms.
