Process for Expediting PR card processing

Hi everyone, is anyone aware of the current processing time of PR card and any way to expedite the process ?
I landed on 6th December, 2021 and have not received my PR card yet. I have to travel back to India next month for some days due to some personal reasons and I am aware that it is not possible to re-enter without the PR card. So is there any other workaround for this.

You can apply for a PR Travel Document from outside of Canada in order to be able to return.

Currently I am in Canada and would be outside of Canada for 15 days so just worried that PRTD won't be processed in such a short span of time so looking for options ahead.

Is this your first PR card after you became a PR or did you apply to renew your PR card.

If this is your first PR card it can take 2-3 months to get the PR card.

Thanks for you reply. Is there any way to check the status or to speed up the process owing to the urgency ?
Or is it possible to apply for PRTD from Canada itself before travelling ?

It is not possible to apply for a PRTD from Canada. It's only possible to apply from outside of Canada.

Expediting the PR card is possible if you are renewing your PR card but not if this is your first PR card.

Is it possible to nominate an address of a friend to receive the pr card and deliver it to you once processed so you can re enter Canada with the PR Card?

1. Can one marry in Canada after landing as a PR before receiving the PR card, would there be any impact ?
2. Does the PR card processing time starts from the landing date or from the date we link PR card application in GC key account ?
3. Can an individual with a valid TRV travel outside Canada on PR applied state ?

1. You can get married. No issues.
2. Landing date.
3. You can leave Canada but you can't use the TRV to return. Once you are a PR, temporary visas such as TRVs are canceled in the system. You need a valid PR card to fly back to Canada or a PR Travel Document. Alternatively you can fly to the US and re-enter Canada through a land border using your COPR.

Thanks for your quick response. Just want to rephrase the last query again to get more clarity:
Can individual who is on work permit and has a valid TRV, after applying for PR (just after starting with the PR process under spousal sponsorship) return back to Canada on TRV or such a person cannot travel outside until they get the decision for their PR application ?

If they have a valid TRV, they can certainly leave and return.

Whether this will impact the PR application decision can depend on how someone has applied (i.e. through which stream).
