Process and docs required for CEC PR application

Hi Guys ,
I am planning to apply for PR in October under CEC class.
I am from India and is working in IT industry.My husband is also working in IT and will complete his 1 year of exp in canada in october .
I have few questions.
1) Should I hire a lawyer.He is asking for 2000$ and i don't think it is really required.Please suggest the benefits of hiring a lawyer.
2) Do I need to get my all photocopy (copy of origoinals ) attested ?
3) Will I need police certificate from both India and Canada ?
4) Can dependant PR for me can also be applied along with my hubby PR?
5) Can I file online application? For PR i only see paper option.
6) What needs to be filled in visa office name in the form ?


Please suggest the tips to avoid getting an refusal.

Just Copies, if you have something in your native language other then Englisg/French. Then you need to translate and certify them....Other wise copies are good

Btw you need orignal IELTS and Police Clearance Certificate

3) Will I need police certificate from both India and Canada ?

Just India and other countries where you have stayed more then 6 months

4) Can dependant PR for me can also be applied along with my hubby PR?

Yes

5) Can I file online application? For PR i only see paper option.

Yes Only Paper, there is no Online application... All the paper work should be sent to CIO-Sydney, NS


6) What needs to be filled in visa office name in the form ?

Case Prossing Office - Ottawa, as all the CEC applications are processed in CPP - Ottawa, nomatter which country you apply from including Canada.

Please suggest the tips to avoid getting an refusal.

Dont waste the money. This forum has all the information. Unless your case has some problem but what u said above it look you are good to go

No, they will ask for originals if they want. Just submit whatever requested originals. You need to get some thing in hindi translated n attested.
3) Will I need police certificate from both India and Canada ?
Just from INDIA..They asked for RCMP at later stages. At this point only PCC from INDIA. Which you can get from INDIAN Consulate at vancouver by sending your passport

NO, fill all the papers and mail it to address given in application package

I have another question.
Apart from employment letter what else is required to proove that you have 1 year work exp in canada .
Do we need a roles and responsibilities letter from employer? Is there any alternative for this ?


Also , should i submit medicals along with PR application? Any idea what is the fees for medicals ...

Please help .........

Reference letter will be more than enough. Pay stubs are optional but you can add them if you have access to them.
T4 slips if you have will add weight.

They will request for medicals usually after 8 month of submitting your application. You dont need one right now

What all should be included .
My Hubby is with IBM and some one has advised tus to get a refrence letter with role and responsibilities for last year +plus number of working hours + salary included in that letter and get it signed by local team lead or manager.

Is there any defined format or guided format that we can use for this reference letter.
Can we get it signed from IBM India Manager or my local team lead who is also on work permit ?
