Hi All,

I have a Question. I will apply for the Federal Skilled Workers next April 2016 from here (Egypt). In the same time, I got an offer letter from a college for the study in next Sep. 2016.

My questions:

-If my Federal Skilled Workers application was accepted while i am in Canada (for the study program), can i proceed with it from within Canada, or i should return first to my country where i have applied?

- To be more sure that i will remain in Canada, After the graduation, I will apply for the PGWP, try to find a fulltime job, wait for one year, and apply for the Canadian Experience category. Will my Federal Skilled Workers application i made in April 2016, prevent this future plan (the PGWP and Canadian Experience category)?

Please let me based on your experience

Hi mate,

If your FSW gets approved once you are in Canada you can take care of it here, just make sure that you update your address once you get here so they know you are in Canada. You obviously have to do a little work called landing, you have to literally get out of the border and come back in. You can worry about that once you are approved. There are so many ways to do this.

For your second question you don't have to worry about your applications, all three have different departments, from your study permit to your FSW to your CEC. And you can most definitely apply for all of them and pass in all of them. That's the beauty of immigration system in Canada, at least for now. Sometimes people apply for different streams just to stay safe, and I personally wouldn't approve of that, because it consumes more labour at the Immigration office while they can work on somebody's else profile. But I don't see any problem with your decisions.

Just make sure you mention every little detail in your future applications and tell them that you have another ongoing application.

Best of luck,
