Hi All,
We have been applying for sponsorship. Application sent August 8,2019. AOR October 9,2019. DM December 9,2019 unfortunately no letter was receive, just update from ECAS. December 18,2019 apps forwarded to MVO. January 23 BR, And we received PFL in the same day. The issue here is sponsor was in EI for 9 months due to mild heart attack and cardio problem. While processing his CPP disability he went to get a welfare from a government which was found in our background check. How can we proceed if the VO are ready to refuse our PR apps because of this issue. Is there any way to get approved. My husband is sick and cannot make to get back on his work because of this heart problem. Your positive advise highly appreciated.

As previously explained you should be consulting an immigration lawyer for the best chance of getting approved.

Was the sponsor on welfare while the application was being processed?

If so, I don't think there's much you can do since being on welfare disqualifies a person from sponsoring. You can try asking for H&C consideration. But hard to say if that will make a difference.

It's possible you may have to reapply again from scratch once you are refused. The application should be accepted the second time now that he is on disability. You should make sure you are working.
